The Altar is an interactive object in UnderMine.

Interacting with the object allows the player to choose a blessing.

Each of the Blessings has a base cost of 1 minor Curse, except Penance which removes a Curse at the cost of health.

On a new save file, Altar rooms will not be generated until the player saves Lillyth.

Also see Blessing Pool for the possible blessings that will appear on an altar.

When the peasant has the Hex called Blasphemy the altars will turn purple as it can be seen below, to indicate that the player is choosing a curse rather than a blessing
