Description	A difficult creature to destroy
A rift wurm was once captured in the goldmine. Many footmen were lost trying to subdue it, and it is still unknown why it strayed so close to the surface. When alchemists and arcane scholars analyzed it they found it had incredible regenerative properties. In fact, a rift wurm can lose any part of its body and continue on as normal. If the head is lost, the tail will regrow it.

The Rift Wurm is an enemy in UnderMine. It is found exclusively in the Golden Core.

The Wurm has multiple segments and moves in a straight line until it hits an obstruction, at which point it either turns left or right.

If any part of the Rift Wurm is killed that is not the tail end, that segment grows a head and becomes a smaller second Wurm.

The best strategy for this enemy is to first destroy the tail so that its head cannot regenerate, then kill its head and the middle segments will poof out of existence.
