Tus is a bard that can be found in secret rooms or crawlspaces.
Tus will be found seated on a blanket, talking to Tus will prompt you to donate gold. Based on a twitter fleet from the developers it was determined that there is 3 levels of donation.[1]
First level is 0-9.9999% of the gold you currently have: Tus will complain, and not give you anything.
Second level is 10%-49.9999% of the gold you currently have: Tus will give you one random relic, this will be the next in the relic pool for your run.
Third level is greater than or equal to 50%: Tus will give you a choice of 24 relics to choose from, you will get that relic, the rest can be found later in the run.
If Tus' bag is broken by the peasant, he will play a fast tempo song, and refuse to take any more tips. He will also give you between one and three random major or minor curses.
If you are in debt the game will not let you donate to Tus. Prior to 1.2.0 it was possible for you to donate, but you would not get anything.
